" Hating Muslims? "

This commentary was spawned by some reader comments:

Watching the DVD 'Constantine's Sword' I was reminded that fear and hatred of Jews caused Christians to sin against Jews. To-day Christians have a new fear, we fear Muslims. Will fear of Muslims cause us to sin against Muslims.? If some Muslims hate Jews does that justify us hating Muslims? If thugs and rapists use religion to justify their villainy does that mean their religion is evil? I, personally, believe that I may not hate Muslims because hate is contrary to Christ's commands. Although I fear radical Islam I remind myself that God is my protection, and fear is contrary to faith. What could happen is that Christian commitment to learning intelligent and gentle love will be pleasing to God. Then, perhaps, God will guide us into a new kind of revival, where we exercise intelligent love as passionately as some people exercise insane hatred.
First of all, I must admit that I don't totally -understand- everything being said here. And from some of it, I would say I very much -disagree- with some of it. But this communication raises a couple of topics that would be good for us to address, in these days, as there is a media promoted -appearance- that 'Muslim' nations are going berserk around the world...and, let it continue a little longer, the whole world seems to be on the precipice of "blowing up". So, let's use this as a launching point to make some timely observations.

To begin with... (and then after this introductory paragraph we'll address the reader's comments) it is not so much "Islam" that is on the rampage, as much as it is a -global- 'agenda'. The "people" from various countries don't just HAPPEN TO, -independently- of each other, just start uprising against their dictators, all AT THE SAME TIME, unless some -other- entity is 'coordinating' the events amongst them all. Otherwise, why, at the same time, are riots also happening in America? There's that one video clip they've shown a few times on the news where the camera is pointed at the one lady, banging on the blue drum/bucket, or whatever, screaming with a contorted face-of-rage. She appears to be of an age, and her mannerisms are, where, in her younger days, she would have been equally angrily in rage and demonstrating against the Viet Nam war, Nixon or equal-rights, etc. The Muslim Brotherhood around the Mediterranean area is of the same background as the Nation of Islam, Black Panthers, et al in this country that have a history of stirring up trouble and riots. It is all of the -same- Marxist/Communist background. Marxism has always taken already-existing issues and conflicts, and 'molded' them for the Communist agenda; so that "the people" think they are in activism about their own pet agenda (race, viet-nam, unions, feminism, abortion rights, sodomy, islam, etc), and used that already-existing rage to further the globalist "Marxist" One World Order agenda. (No, Communism did NOT die with the crumbling of the Berlin Wall! ...or Gorbachev's 'perestroika') Like Lenin...always stirring things up, that might otherwise have been at peace. But when things are stirred up (whatever the local cause), it furthers the Global agenda. You know, the current administration's slogan: Don't let a crisis go to waste. Currently, in this country (Wisconsin, etc) it is the Labor Unions. In the middle east it is Islam. All being coordinated to the same Global Agenda and goals...of the One World...New World Order. (a recent Arutz-7 also had an article that some demonstrations might be in the works in Israel against Arabs, because they harass Israeli women as they might be walking along the street) It seems as if Obama "got things done" in 2010, so that now the "next phase" could be implemented....what we are now seeing as these riots and revolutions. And as this is being formatted for the website, NATO countries are also preparing military options against Libya. It's all one big massive global conspiracy. And it will ultimately result in a collapse of global finances...and we know, prophetically, who will "save the day" on that one! (not to mention when it all turns sour against Israel!) Some Muslim countries are giving away money to their citizens, in the hopes they won't revolt, because the excuse given for the riots is that food costs more than people can afford, their wages aren't high enough to live on. The riots in Wisconsin are about union -money-. If the unions get their way and the governor can't reduce the budget to keep it solvent, the government spends the taxpayers' money till they go broke. This nation is in debt up to its eyeballs. Many countries of the EU, ditto. The Arab world? Who knows the details there. Some pundits are suggesting that it's about "oil". So then, why has Iran sent a warship through the Suez Canal? ...to be on this other side of Israel? And a few weeks ago when it was Lebanon, a source, not naming the country of origin, explained how a couple of aircraft carriers were steaming towards the region with over 500 fighter jets, and support vessels with over 5000 marines. (Like I say, the news source did not name the country that sent the aircraft carriers, nor did I bother to research further. Whatever happens -will- happen, with or without my knowledge or research.)

So, with that out of the way as background, let's get to the topics addressed by the reader.

First of all, True BIBLICAL "Christians" did not "sin against Israel". I've not seen "Constantine's Sword", but I know the topic, and enough of the overall history. Indeed, Rome conducted a holy war and crusades against the Holy Land and Israel, the "Christ killers!" (Don't they remember that Jesus died on a -Roman- cross, which Pilate, a -Roman- governor, ordered??) It was Rome and the Vatican that instituted pogroms against the Jews. But the Vatican is -NOT- "Christian". Never was, never will be. Not -Biblically-! It is likely the final historical mutation of the ancient antichrist Babel. Rome hated Jews because satan hates Jews; and first instituted "replacement theology" (i.e. that Israel is forever done for, and the church has replaced Israel prophetically, Scripturally). But Israel is God's Elect. Israel represents the "pupil of God's eye". (Zec2:8) The Roman empire was in decline, but Christianity was booming. Constantine did not become a Christian. He engaged in political expediency and subterfuge. Rome's pagan practices and deities were given "christian" names, and Voila! Rome -became- "christian". But at its core it is still pagan Babylon. (You know: a rose by any other name....blah, blah, etc, etc.) Attaching the label "Christian" to paganism didn't change the paganism into righteousness and Godliness. It is still just as pagan as it ever was! And so, when the pagan entity persecuted Jews, even though the entity was now (falsely) -called- "christian", did not mean that True Godly Biblical Christians were doing the persecuting. They were not. It was pagan Rome/Babylon.

By definition, among other things, a person who claims to be a Christian -will- love the Jews.

"We know that we have passed from death to life, because we LOVE THE BRETHREN. He who does not love his brother remains in death" (1Jn3:14)
Yes, I know that many gentile Christians call each other "brother" and "sister". But originally, the nation of Israel was a 'family', by genetics. The 12 tribes were 12 brothers. Certainly a Christian will love other Christians. But when Jesus (of the tribe of Judah) came "unto His own" who rejected Him (Jn1:11), that was Israel. As was prophesied
"I will declare Your name to My brothers...." (Ps22:22)
Until after Pentecost and Cornelius, faith in God and Jesus Christ was primarily a -Jewish- thing. Pentecost was a -Jewish- feast. Those to whom Peter preached were mostly Jews. And so when John (a Jew) proclaims that Faith in Christ is synonymous with love for the "brothers", we cannot dismiss the fact that part of that statement is also how a Believer comports himself to Israel and Jews.

This is one (of many) indicator that the Protestant Reformation was NOT a Biblically "Christian" movement. How many of those revered (church fathers) Reformation leaders persecuted Jews... almost as much as Rome did! ...and also perpetuated Rome's replacement theology.

And so, the same reasoning processes can be carried over to Islam.

First of all...to say that "some" Muslims hate Jews is somewhat the reverse of what it was with Rome. If Rome had truly believed the Bible, they would all have loved the Jew. On the other hand, if -all- Muslims truly believed the Koran, they would -all- hate Jews. By definition of what Islam is, by the words of the Koran. The fact that some Muslims don't hate Jews would suggest that they are not true, dyed in the wool "muslims". For a Muslim to not hate Jews would be like a True Christian being backslidden with regards to Biblical Faith and Doctrine. If a Muslim does not hold to -all- tenets of the Koran, it is the same as a person claiming to be a Christian not holding to "the whole counsel of God" (Ac20:27), the Bible. (e.g. like those who speak of "essentials" vs "non-essentials", and agreeing to disagree, agreeably -vs- 1Co1:10) It is like black-and-white. The Bible is white, the Koran is black. They speak of "moderate" Muslims. That's the same as speaking of "ecumenical, emergent" Christians. A 'moderate' Muslim is no more a true Muslim, than an -emergent- "christian" is a True Biblical Christian!

"God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son..." (Jn3:16)
The world is in a state of sin.
"All we like sheep have gone astray...there is none righteous, no not one" (Is53:6, Ro3:10)
God loved the -SINFUL- world, and sent Jesus Christ to die.
"Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends." (Jn15:13)
And so, if the Biblical Christian is seeking to be Christ-like, he is also going to -love- the people of the world...INCLUDING MUSLIMS. Jesus came to call "not...the righteous, but sinners to repentance" (Mt9:13, Mk2:17, Lk5:32) And it will be the desire of the Christian to see the Salvation of Muslims. (Mt16:15) Do Muslims fight against Christ any more than Paul did, before he met the Lord on the road to Damascus? If S/Paul could be saved, so can Muslims.

But Jesus also says,

"Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves. Therefore be WISE AS SERPENTS and harmless as doves." (Mt10:16)
Suppose a Christian lives side-by-side next to a Muslim family. They are observed going to Mosque every time there are meetings, they read their Koran regularly, bow to Meccah five times a day, and deeply believe the teachings of Muhammed. But as they live next door they -seem- like SUCH 'NICE' PEOPLE. Well, my neighbor's dog -seemed- real 'nice', too, initially while she was standing up, paws on the fence, with her owners gathered around, and was 'licking' at my hand as I was petting her, as we were saying "hello" across the fence....until WITHOUT WARNING...JERK...GROWL/SNAP...she bit into my arm. (No harm because I was wearing the motorcycle jacket. If it hadn't been for the jacket, it would have been a trip to the hospital emergency room)

At what point does that snake in the grass jump out and bite? At what point will the charge of the Imam 'give the order' to carry out Allah's will to Jihad?

One is -careful- about certain things. But being careful (wary) is not the same as "hate". (The Jerusalem church was also wary of Saul in his unsaved state. Had Saul been a Muslim, he would have done Islam proud in his zeal for jihad against the early Church. He would have put many of today's Muslims to shame, by comparison. But the Lord saved him!)

Thugs and rapists use many excuses to do their evil deeds. They do the deeds of their 'father', the devil. On the flip side, just because that 'neighbor' family -seems- SO 'NICE', does not make their religion -good-. (the seductress looks real 'nice', too! ...but her ways are the ways to death Pr5:3-5) Islam is an evil religion: promoting murder, warfare against anybody that is not Muslim; particularly to the extermination of Jews and Christians. No matter how much the politically correct ecumenists wish to delude themselves that it is not so, Islam is a religion of hate. This little part of the reader's comments suggests to me that perhaps there is lacking a clear understanding that there is only ONE TRUE FAITH, ONE TRUE DOCTRINE, and ONE TRUE GOD. (Eph4:4-6) Christianity and Islam are not two mutually equally 'good' religions, and it DOESN'T MATTER 'which' a person adheres to. No! Islam worships the moon. (Rome worships the sun) And Christianity worships the CREATOR of them all, the MOST HIGH GOD. (Ro1:25, Ac17:24-25)

"For all the gods of the peoples are idols, but Jehovah made the heavens." (Ps96:5)

"For You, Jehovah, are most high above all the earth; You are exalted far above all gods." (Ps97:9)

Another subscriber sent a short article. I don't know what the dates were. But at the leadership of Rick Warren there were to be ecumenical services with Muslims and "christians" in the same 'churches', with both Bibles and Korans side-by-side in the pew backs, with the idea of "ecumenical reconciliation between christianity and islam". Let's see... "christianity" was represented by Presbyterian, Southern Baptist and other "christian communities in Atlanta, Seattle and Detroit"

But yes, along with the psalmist, the True Christian -does- 'hate'.

"Do I not hate them, O Jehovah, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You? I hate them with complete hatred; I count them my enemies." (Ps139:21-22)
For somebody who does not truly -KNOW- the Lord, the seeming incongruity between this 'hate' and the previously mentioned 'love' might be too much to reconcile with one's 'gentle' loving intellect. But the True Biblical Believer understands, because...
"..we have the mind of Christ" (1Co2:16)
As Jesus comes "conquering, indeed in order to conquer" (Re6:2) the angel proclaims,
"You are righteous, O Lord, the One who is and who was and who is to be, because You have judged these things, for they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and You have given them blood to drink, for they are deserving. And I heard another out of the altar saying, Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments." (Re16:5-7)

FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T UNDERSTAND this last bit that was just said:

Jesus said to Pilate...

"My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here." (Jn18:36)
Paul reminds us that our "citizenship is in Heaven" (Php3:20) We do not fight Heavenly spiritual warfare with "carnal...weapons" (2Co10:4)

We do not bomb abortion clinics. We do not take sniper shots at Muslims, abortion doctors, or anybody else with whom we might be in spiritual disagreement. We do not graffiti the local mosque with symbols of the cross, flames, doves or fish. We don't even deface them by scrawling Scripture verses on them. When the riot ensued over how Paul's preaching was affecting the idol-making economy, the town clerk says...

"For you have brought these men here who are NEITHER ROBBERS OF TEMPLES NOR BLASPHEMERS OF YOUR GODDESS." (Ac19:37)
Paul did not go around decrying pagan deities. When they had an inscription "to the unknown god" Paul preached Jesus Christ. His commission was to preach "Jesus Christ and Him crucified" (1Co2:2)

Yes, we -hate- what God hates. But He did not send us to engage in physical warfare with pagans, but to "preach the Gospel to every creature" (Mk16:15, Col1:23) Jesus Christ, coming on the white horse, will physically take care of judging satan's kingdom. That's not our job... it is His!

But I dare say that Biblical Christian hatred, if picking a focus, is directed more towards those (alleged) "christians" of the Presbyterian and Southern Baptist, and other such "communities" who are embracing Islam. They -have- God's Word....they -should- KNOW BETTER; but are going contrary to Doctrine. The wolves in sheep clothing. (Mt7:15~~) When wolves come -as- wolves, you know them at face value; treating them as such can have understanding with them 'dances with wolves' style; and have an honest starting point to preach the Gospel to them. But when wolves come looking like sheep, a person first needs to peel away the disguise. I would dare say my Christian "hatred" would be directed at people like Rick Warren waaaay more than Mahmoud Ahmedinejad of Iran. Ahmedinejad makes no bones about his own Muslim-ness and his hatred for Israel. In that, at least he is 'honest'. Warren -claims- and -pretends- to be a "christian", but (by his fruit Mt7:16) we know he is not. He is a deceiver and a false prophet. There is more hope for the Salvation of Mahmoud Ahmedinejad (muslim), than Rick Warren (alleged christian)!
