*** MORSELS ***
Re: Mercy
They were disobedient And rebelled against You, Cast Your law behind
their backs And killed Your prophets, who testified against them To
turn them to Yourself; And they worked great provocations. Therefore
You delivered them into the hand of their enemies, Who oppressed them;
And in the time of their trouble, When they cried to You, You heard
from heaven; And according to Your abundant mercies You gave them
deliverers who saved them From the hand of their enemies. "But after
they had rest, They again did evil before You. Therefore You left them
in the hand of their enemies, So that they had dominion over them; Yet
when they returned and cried out to You, You heard from heaven; And
many times You delivered them according to Your mercies, (Neh 9:26-28)
Through the LORD'S mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions
fail not. Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion
According to the multitude of His mercies. (Lam 3:22,32)
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He
loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together
with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together,
and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, (Eph
2:4-6)
Although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent
man; but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
(1Tim 1;13)
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His
mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of
the Holy Spirit, (Tit 3:5)
But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His
own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called
you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a
people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but
now have obtained mercy. (1Pet 2:9-10)
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain
mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Heb 4:16)
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which
is your reasonable service. Keep yourselves in the love of God,
looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
(Rom 12:1, Jude 21)
