Re: Repentance
"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out,
so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord,
"Truly, these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all
men everywhere to repent, (Acts 3:29, 17:30)
I have five brothers, that he [Lazarus] may testify to them, lest they
also come to this place of torment.' "Abraham said to him,' They have
Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.' "And he said,' No, father
Abraham; but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent.' "But
he said to him,' If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither
will they be persuaded though one rise from the dead.'" (Luke 16:28-31)
But unless you repent you will all likewise perish. (Luke 13:3)
For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance."
(Matt 9:13)
Have mercy upon me, O God, According to Your lovingkindness; According
to the multitude of Your tender mercies, Blot out my transgressions.
Oh, do not remember former iniquities against us] Let Your tender
mercies come speedily to meet us, For we have been brought very low.
Therefore I abhor myself, And repent in dust and ashes." (Ps 51:1,
79:8, Job 42:6)
As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and
repent. (Rev 3:19)
