*** MORSELS ***
Re: Jesus...Who? Gave His life.
"just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to
give His life a ransom for many." (Matt 20:28)
He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted
with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was
despised, and we did not esteem Him. Surely He has borne our griefs And
carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and
afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised
for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by
His stripes we are healed. (Isa 53:3-5)
"Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may
take it again. "No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself.
I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This
command I have received from My Father." (Jn 10:17-18)
And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said," Father,' into
Your hands I commit My spirit.' "Having said this, He breathed His
last. (Luke 23:46)
"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but
Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live
by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
(Gal 2:20)
