Re: Day of the Lord...Doom

Woe to you who desire the day of the LORD. For what good is the day of the LORD to you? It will be darkness, and not light. (Amos 5:18)

Woe to you who put far off the day of doom, Who cause the seat of violence to come near; (Amos 6:3)

But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you. For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, "Peace and safety]" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. (1Thes 5:1-3)
