Re: Search for a Servant
"So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in
the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it;
but I found no one. (Ezek 22:30)
For our transgressions are multiplied before You, And our sins testify
against us; For our transgressions are with us, And as for our
iniquities, we know them: In transgressing and lying against the LORD,
And departing from our God, Speaking oppression and revolt, Conceiving
and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. Justice is turned back,
And righteousness stands afar off; For truth is fallen in the street,
And equity cannot enter. So truth fails, And he who departs from evil
makes himself a prey. Then the LORD saw it, and it displeased Him That
there was no justice. He saw that there was no man, And wondered that
there was no intercessor; Therefore His own arm brought salvation for
Him; And His own righteousness, it sustained Him. (Isa 59:12-16)
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, and who
will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me." (Isa 6:8)
Then He said to them, "Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary
for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, "and
that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to
all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. "And you are witnesses of these
things. (Luke 24:46-48)
