" The Little Boy's Sailboat "
Years ago, a little boy carved a sailboat out of wood. He delighted in
sailing it in the river near his home. One day the boat was caught up
in the current and swept out of sight. The boy asked his father to
help him search, but they could not find it.
Several months later, while visiting a town downstream, the boy saw his
boat for sale in a store window. Excitedly, he rushed to his father
and got the money to purchase it.
When he held it in his arms at last, he told the storekeeper, "Now it
is twice mine. Once because I made it and again because I bought it
back for a price."
Likewise, we are twice God's. First, because He made us and again
because, through Jesus Christ, He bought us back for a price. "Ye are
bought with a price..." (1Cor7:23)
(Author Unknown)
Or do you not know that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in
you, which you have from God, and you are not of yourselves? You were
bought with a price; then glorify God in your body, and in your spirit,
which are of God. (1Cor6:19-20 litv)
