*** MORSEL EXTRAS***
Re: Truth and Error
It is better to be divided by truth than to be united in error. It is
better to speak the truth that hurts and then heals, than falsehood
that comforts and then kills. Let me tell you something, friend, it is
not love and it is not friendship if we fail to declare the whole
counsel of God. It is better to be hated for telling the truth, than to
be loved for telling a lie. It is impossible to find anyone in the
Bible who was a power for God who did not have enemies and was not
hated. It's better to stand alone with the truth, than to be wrong with
a multitude. It is better to ultimately succeed with the truth than to
temporarily succeed with a lie. There is only one Gospel and Paul said,
"If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have
preached unto you, let him be accursed."
--Adrian Rodgers
"that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried
about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the
cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in
love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head; Christ; from
whom the whole body, joined and knit together by what every joint
supplies, according to the effective working by which every part does
its share, causes growth of the body for the edifying of itself in
love. (Eph 4:14-16)
Now I urge you, brethren, note those who cause divisions and offenses,
contrary to the doctrine which you learned, and avoid them. For those
who are such do not serve our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly,
and by smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the
simple. (Rom 16:17-18)
"Therefore I testify to you this day that I am innocent of the blood of
all men. "For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel
of God. (Acts 20:26-27)
